Happy New Year

As 2022 draws to a close, we look back on another 12 months of changes and challenges

We said goodbye to Dr Alison Harvey and Dr Sue Crawford and welcomed Dr Kirsty Smout, Dr Julie Grove White and Dr Tom Roe to the team.
Genevieve our practice manager moved on to new challenges after 7 years at the helm and Leanne Brooks joined us as our new Advanced Nurse Practitioner bringing leadership and stability to our lovely nursing team

We have added new services – women’s health clinics, travel vaccination services, mental health support and access to counselling on site. The New Year sees our new Long-Term Conditions clinics and we will begin to invite eligible patients for NHS Health Checks very soon – https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/nhs-health-check/

Our dispensary welcomed Eli, and Julie is now Dispensary Supervisor. The whole team has worked incredibly hard to improve our services and we have been promised that the new dispensing machine will be installed in early January

On reception, the ever-cheerful Dani will be leaving us in the Spring to take her maternity leave which is very exciting!

It has been masks on and then off and then on and then off again …..Covid is here to stay it seems

We were delighted to be able to offer booster vaccinations alongside our regular flu clinics this year and delivered over 3500 vaccinations in total, mostly on Saturdays to minimise the impact on our weekday capacity

2022 has ended with truly challenging weeks in Primary Care and we hope very much that 2023 will be gentler and kinder to us all

So, we just wanted to say a sincere “THANK YOU” to our patients for your continued support.

Best wishes for a very HAPPY NEW YEAR

‼️ We are now CLOSED until Tuesday 3rd January. As always please use your local pharmacy or 111 for health advice and 999 in a medical emergency
