Registered Nurse (Adult)
Leanne started her nursing career in 2004 at Nottingham City Hospital moving to primary care five years later in 2009. She worked her way up from Treatment room nurse to a Practice nurse to an Advanced Nurse Practitioner in a General Practice. Throughout the year she has developed Advanced skills in chronic diseases. Her main interests continues to be long term-conditions, respiratory, diabetes, health promotion and leading the Practice nurse team. Over the last few years she has increased her knowledge with Minor illnesses training and has allocated appointments most days to support her Gp Colleagues.
2014 – Spirometry degree course (Education for Health) – diagnosis and interpretation (on ARTP register for diagnosing lung conditions, national requirement)
2015 – COPD degree course (Education for Health)
2015 – Asthma degree course (Education for Health)
2016 – Diabetes degree course (Education for Health)
2016 – X-pert diabetes type 2 educator qualification.
2019 – Non-Medical Prescribing degree course (Sheffield Hallam University)
2021 – Minor illness and Injuries Course Masters course (Plymouth University)
2021 – Advanced Level Nurse Practitioner – Credentialing Model D, Royal College of Nursing.
