Dr Kirsty Smout

Dr Kirsty Smout grew up in Bedfordshire and then spent several years travelling and working before moving to Hampshire to train as a doctor. She qualified from Southampton Medical School in 2012. She worked in many hospital specialties during her postgraduate training at Southampton Hospital, and developed a passion for Frailty whilst working on the Medicine for Older People team.

Dr Smout moved to Devon to complete her GP training and began working for Chillington Health Centre in 2022. Besides her frailty work, she is also passionate about women’s and child health.

When she’s not at work, Dr Smout enjoys being on the water, and the ‘wonderful chaos’ of being a mum to four children.
