Dr Julie Grove-White

Womens health GP

Julie qualified from University College London Medical School in 1999.  Shortly thereafter she relocated to Sydney, Australia with her husband to begin her training as a GP.  On returning to the UK, Julie completed her training at the Whittington Hospital in London and qualified as a GP in 2005, shortly after the birth of her first child.

Julie has developed a specific interest in woman’s health during her training and gained her Diploma in Obstetrics & Gynaecology (DRCOG) in 2003 and her Diploma of the Faculty of Family Planning (DFFP) in 2008.

In addition, Julie has gained a wealth of experience in contraception, antenatal and postnatal care, mental health problems and gynaecological problems, amongst a plethora of other conditions that women have presented with whilst she had been practicing as a GP over the last 17 years.

After supporting women through their earlier reproductive years, it seemed only natural that Julie’s interest in women’s health would extend further into the perimenopause and menopause.  Julie has developed a keen awareness of the diverse array of symptoms which can challenge women going through this period in their lives.

Julie is passionate about helping women to recognise their symptoms and to empower them to make informed choices about HRT as well as lifestyle changes which will dramatically improve their quality of life.

Julie now lives in Devon with her husband and three teenage children. She is currently working as a locum GP for several local practices.

When not working, Julie is a keen gardener and hosts an annual Open Garden Event on behalf of a local hospice. Julie also enjoys spending time at the beach and walking on the South West Coastal path, as well as managing a successful glamping and holiday cottage business.
