Dr Francis Carnegy

Dr Francis Carnegy graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 2006.  Since then he has worked in a broad range of specialties in both the UK and abroad in New Zealand and Canada along with brief tropical medicine stints in Zambia.  He completed his GP training in the Scottish Borders in 2013. He is passionate about providing long-term continuity of care to patients in rural and remote locations and the challenges and rewards this can bring.  Being a GP he is eager to see any problem in both young and old but has a particular interest in care of the elderly and tropical medicine.  Outside medicine, you’ll find him running ragged after his 3 young daughters and paddling on the water when time allows!
