Pharmaself24
From June 13th 2023 – Collecting your prescription just got easier, You can now collect your prescription when it’s convenient for you 24/7

How does it work?

1. Firstly you will need to ask when you are next in the surgery to ensure that your medication is suitable for going in to the machine as there are certain products that are not allowed to go in it

2. We will also need to check if you pay for your prescription or whether you are entitled to prescription exemption, and if so which catergory

3. When we have checked this all we need to do is sign you up. It simply works like a text messaging service. Once your prescription is ready you will receive a text with a pin code. Your prescription will be placed in the machine ready for you to collect at a time that suits you

4. Then all you have to do is follow the instructions on the screen to enter your pin code and your prescription will be dispensed.

Please note that the pin will only be valid for three days! In order to maximise access, we encourage patients to collect the prescription within 24 hours ( excluding weekends)

If you have any queries please pop into the surgery or email dispensary.chillington@nhs.net

Emergency prescription requests

Emergency prescription requests will be dealt with on the same day.  Emergency medications might include; epileptic medication, Insulin, Inhalers for lung conditions, emergency contraception and Epipen for anaphylaxis. Emergency prescription requests are not requests for medication which has been ordered late.

Medication reviews

We are keen to ensure that patients with ongoing medical problems are monitored regularly. If the date for your next review with a doctor or nurse has passed you will be asked to make an appointment.

You need to register to use our online repeat prescription ordering service and this is best done in person at the surgery. Please speak to one of our receptionists.
