Booking GP Appointments, Home Visits & Appointment Cancellations
We run all our surgeries by an appointment-only system.
Appointments can be made by telephone or by attending the surgery. Medically urgent cases will always be seen on the same day but not always by your own Doctor. Anything less urgent will be seen routinely.
Note that all surgery appointments are for ten minutes only, so if you anticipate your appointment will take longer please request a twenty minute slot.
The Doctors are happy to discuss problems by telephone, where appropriate, please contact the reception for advice. Please be available on your preferred number and ensure your contact details are up to date.
We try to make sure you see the doctor of your choice but if they are not available we may ask you to see another doctor.
You can now book routine GP appointments ahead online via the NHS app. Appointments are available for telephone calls and for direct face to face slots. We also offer an extended access service. Please see link below for further details:
GP Home visits
If you are too ill to come to the surgery and you require a visit at home, please call the surgery before 10.00am. Home visits take up more of a doctor’s time than a consultation in the surgery, so if you are mobile please come into the surgery to be seen.
If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else. Unfortunately we cannot facilitate a cancellation waiting list.
Similarly, if the doctor refers you to a consultant and you no longer require the appointment, please inform the appropriate department at the hospital as soon as possible.
